“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean. Provided by The Listener's Audio Bible.)

Bible Study – Special Edition – February 25, 2025

JESUS works in our lives is for HIS glory.

In our last study, we touched upon a person being born again in his/her human spirit by the Holy Spirit and once born of the Holy Spirit that person is called to Priesthood. GOD equips those HE calls with Spiritual Gifts.

A person must be born a human first and then can be born again in his or her human spirit by the divine Holy Spirit. This takes place when a person realizes he/she is a sinner and needs salvation. This is the work of the Holy Spirit WHO works within every person to lead and guide him/her to seek GOD. Salvation comes through faith in JESUS and HIS passion. The fact that GOD sent HIS only SON, JESUS, WHO willingly came to earth to be the perfect acceptable sacrifice to GOD for all sin.

This is the story of salvation through faith in JESUS, THE CHRIST!

When a person places his/her faith in JESUS and HIS Passion, a miracle takes place quicker than the twinkle of the eye. That person is born-again in his/her human spirit, the egg, by the divine Sperm of GOD, The Holy Spirit, to be eternally GOD’S Son or Daughter.

As the Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5: Our Future after Death

For we know that if our earthly tent (human body) we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands. Indeed, we groan in this tent, desiring to put on our heavenly dwelling, since, when we are clothed,[a] we will not be found naked. Indeed, we groan while we are in this tent, burdened as we are, because we do not want to be unclothed but clothed, so that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.

So we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. In fact, we are confident, and we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Therefore, whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to be pleasing to him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

11 Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade people. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your consciences. 12 We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you an opportunity to be proud of us, so that you may have a reply for those who take pride in outward appearance rather than in the heart. 13 For if we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ compels us, since we have reached this conclusion, that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.

The Ministry of Reconciliation

16 From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective.[b] Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective,[c] yet now we no longer know him in this way. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has[d] come! 18 Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us.

20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.” 21 He made the one (JESUS) who did not know sin to be sin[e] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

JESUS willingly did this for all who will place their faith in HIM.

Have you asked JESUS to forgive you for your sins and for HIM to come into your life? If not, now is your opportunity. Salvation does not come through the eloquence of words but the sincerity of a person’s innermost being, his or her heart where truth resides.

If you prayed such a prayer, then welcome to the eternal family of GOD. You need Spiritual food to help you grow Spiritually – reading and studying GOD’S Word, The Bible, Prayer, talking to GOD, and Spiritual exercise which is telling others about JESUS as given the opportunity.

GOD gives Spiritual Gifts to all Spirit-born people. There are many Spiritual Gifts. The three main passages describe just a few of the spiritual gifts:

Romans 12:6–8:

According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s[b] faith; if service, use it in service; if teaching, in teaching; if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.

1 Corinthians 12:4–11:

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person. A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good: to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of tongues,[b] to another, interpretation of tongues. 11 One and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as he wills.

Unity Yet Diversity in the Body

12 For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body—so also is Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and we were all given one Spirit to drink. 14 Indeed, the body is not one part but many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I’m not a hand, I don’t belong to the body,” it is not for that reason any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” it is not for that reason any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But as it is, God has arranged each one of the parts in the body just as he wanted. 19 And if they were all the same part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that are weaker are indispensable. 23 And those parts of the body that we consider less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unrespectable parts are treated with greater respect, 24 which our respectable parts do not need.

Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable, 25 so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. 26 So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it. 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, leading, various kinds of tongues.[d] 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But desire the greater gifts. And I will show you an even better way.

Love is the better way. When GOD gifts HIS chosen, Satan will do all he can to get a Spirit-born person chasing the Spiritual highs and not focus on what GOD desires for him/her to focus upon as HE leads and guides through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Many may think or say that will not happen to me! That is when a person is most vulnerable. All Spiritual gifts are to be used as GOD directs.

! Corinthains 12: Diversity of Spiritual Gifts

12 Now concerning spiritual gifts:[a] brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be unaware. You know that when you were pagans, you used to be enticed and led astray by mute idols. Therefore I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

And I will show you an even better way.

What is Apostle Paul’s better way? Love.

It is essential that Spirit Born Christians do not get puffed up by having one or more Spiritual Gifts. They are given to minister to the body of CHRIST, which is the true church.

Why did our LORD lead me to write this?

As you may recall in last week’s study, the LORD led me to write about those who are born Spiritually are members of the Priesthood. As such, we are given Spiritual Gifts to be used to minister to those in need.

GOD equips those who minister with Spiritual Gifts to minister as led by the indwelling Holy Spirit. There are many Spiritual Gifts that GOD gives to those who are called to use them for the good of the body.

As Spirit-born believers, we are to trust as GOD gives each opportunity to serve/minister, which requires a step of faith, a strong prayer life and trust in GOD.

GOD equips HIS Children/Priests with Spiritual Gifts to be used to minister to the body of believers.

Blessings!!!
